We all love relaxing on the beach soaking up the sun while on vacation, but for those that would like to add in a dose of adventure and get their adrenaline pumping, Catalina has some great options! You can soar above the ocean and Avalon Bay while parasailing, go sailing through the trees ziplining, or cruise down Catalina’s natural terrain out in “the hills” on a mountain bike.
The natural beauty of the Island, which makes these activities so unique and special, really can’t be experienced like this anywhere else. While some of us prefer our feet firmly planted on the ground, it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on these activities. If you cruise out to Descanso Beach or go around “Hogsback” (Stagecoach Road to Chimes Tower Road), you can watch the zipliners soar from one side of the canyon to the other. Or you can just hang out anywhere with a view of Avalon Bay and you’ll see parasailers flying above the water!
