It’s difficult to explain the energy that takes over Catalina Island from Memorial Day through Labor Day—the “summer season”—it’s infectious and contagious. The minute you get off the boat you’ll feel it. Everyone’s in a good mood (you’re on vacation after all), the beaches are buzzing, the water’s crystal clear, boaters are cruising the harbor, and the sun is shining. Paradise pretty much sums it up.
Summer is by far most people’s favorite time to visit Catalina and for good reason – there are enough water and land activities to keep everyone busy, the weather’s beautiful and what better way is there to forget about the daily grind than spending the day at the beach? You can rent a golf cart (a highlight for many), go snorkeling, rent a boat or bike, go peddle boating or kayaking, take a hike in the interior, go ziplining, visit the museum…we’ll stop there, but you can learn about even more activities here.
If you’re looking to leave reality behind and enjoy a fun-filled vacation, whether you have two days or a week, summertime on Catalina is not to be missed!
