The Catalina Island Museum has a new way to bring holiday cheer to Catalina’s visitors and residents. On Friday, Dec. 13, Avalon’s Casino Theatre will echo with the sounds of the season during the first annual Holiday Symphony Concert. Featuring an ensemble from the distinguished Stanford Symphony Orchestra, the concert will showcase both holiday standards and classical music. Led by conductor Anna Wittstruck, the symphony includes graduate students, undergraduates and community musicians.
The hour-long concert will be the highlight of an evening that also includes the Holiday Open House at the museum. With free admission, discounts in the museum store and a delicious tasting from Steve’s Steakhouse, the evening is sure to bring holiday cheer even to the grouchiest of Grinches.
The concert is free, but seating is limited and tickets are required. If you are staying with CIVR, simply let one of our Reservation Specialist know you’d like to attend. All others Catalina Island visitors should call (310) 510-2414 to reserve your ticket or visit www.CatalinaIslandMuseum.org.
Made possible by a diverse group of sponsors and supporters, including Catalina Island Vacation Rentals and Catalina Island Real Estate, it’s hoped that the Holiday Concert can become an annual event.
