  • Schedule Two Harbors Transportation

    Scheduled transportation to this island paradise is available either via boat or bus. Catalina Express, which operates a fleet of vessels to the island, offers scheduled service to Two Harbors from San Pedro several days a week even in the winter. In the summer months, several departures a day visit Two Harbors.

    In the summer months, scheduled weekend transportation is available from Avalon to Two Harbors with Afishinado charters. The company leaves Avalon for the 11-mile journey to Two Harbors at 10 a.m. and returns from Two Harbors at noon on Saturdays and Sundays.

    The aptly named Safari Bus visits several stops on its daily journeys between Avalon and Two Harbors, including the Airport-in-the-Sky, Blackjack Campground and Little Harbor. Safari Bus passengers frequently spot bison, bald eagles and island fox as well as dramatic vistas and awe-inspiring seascapes. It takes about an hour to reach Two Harbors from Avalon by road. Passengers should be aware that the route is along many high cliffs and includes many switchbacks. The road is not paved between the airport and Two Harbors.

The small village of Two Harbors is easily navigable on foot and day hikes in the West End area are a popular activity. If you’d like to explore further, the Safari Bus offers daily transportation to Little Harbor, a popular beach on the backside of the island known for snorkeling, hiking and surfing.
