Los Angeles International Airport (LAX):
VIP Express (1-888-511-4847) offers nonstop service between LAX and
the Long Beach and San Pedro ports. For one to seven passengers, the
charge is $45* from LAX to the port and $39* from the port to LAX.
Yellow Cab taxis (1-562-421-7180) charge around $45* for a
carload of up to 5.
Karmel Shuttle (1-888-995-RIDE) offers van, sedan, bus, and
limousine service. Call 24 hours for rates and reservations.
Long Beach Airport:
Take a cab (310-421-7180) to one of the Long Beach cross-channel
services. It'll cost about $18*.
L.A. Bus Station or Union Station:
The Blue Line lightrail runs to the Transit Mall on First Street in
Long Beach. Transfer to the free Long Beach Downtown Runabout (Route
C) for a ride to the Queen Mary, which is next to the
Catalina Express boats and the
Island Express heliport. Runabout Route C cruises between the
downtown Transit Mall and the Queen Mary cross the bay from 5:30 am
until midnight, seven days a week.
