Avalon Homes - 130 Middle Terrace - 4 bedrooms - 4 baths

I rented this house for my best friend's bachelorette party and it was perfect! It's a lot bigger than what I took from the pictures. The main balcony may look small at first but believe me, it has plenty of room for entertaining! We chatted with the neighbors on our left and they we're extremely nice...they brought us over sugar and cream! I highly recommend this house!!! I know I'll be staying here again in the future. Huge thanks to the owners for opening up your home to others!

Catalina Island Vacation Rentals staff are incredible. They really are so attentive to all your unique needs and desires, extremely helpful in answering any/all questions and gave the best recommendations for other things to do/eat/see on the Island. We loved working with Hannah, and also found anyone who picked up the phone to be extremely helpful, professional, knowledgeable and nice! The short cut steps from the main road are really no big deal at all. (Maybe just going up for elderly and lil ones.) But overall, it was an ideal location. Away from the noise, but close enough to get to all the action with a 4-5 min walk. The view and balcony did not disappoint. Even if you were feeling loungy/lazy on the couch inside, the view was still spectacular from the main living room. The sand toys and blow up beach floaty were nice extras for the kids. The grill, the kitchen amenities, bedrooms and all were fabulous for our group. It is very 70s in decor, but we found it to be quite charming and reminiscent of our past home relics. The included golf cart was also a major highlight for me! It was so great to not feel like you were getting ripped off with the short hourly rental times and fees that you would otherwise have to incur, and we could explore the island and come and go as we pleased. It was especially useful for arrival/departure with all our luggage for the 8 peeps we had. This house is perfect for a few families or even couples to share together. You truly feel the Island's grandeur from the special vista.

The house was great for our family. We came for the Jr. Golf Tournament and always make this a mini-family vacation. So why some of us were there, the others could easily walk into town to enjoy the water and shopping. The view is spectacular and I would recommend this house to anyone! The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. We will stay there again.

We stayed with extended family _ my husband and myself + 3 grown children and significant others for several days in May-June 2012 to fill some time between 2 graduations in SoCal. Kitchen was nice & there was a bar-be-que to use. Accommodations were nice as well although the 4 bedrooms were not equal but that would be very hard to do in a rental so it was expected. Bathrooms were nice and everything was clean. There was a smallish outdoor deck for dining (that's where the bar-be-que was) Biggest plus: Absolutely fabulous view over avalon and the bay looking toward the Casino. Another plus: the use of a golf cart came with the rental. Biggest negative: It's pretty far up the hillside and is a lengthy walk by road down in to the town. However, there are stairs about a block away that one can walk down and end up in the commercial area. We were all physically fit so the stairs were not an issue.

The service by Catalina Vacation Rentals was terrific from our first contact with them. The home was beautiful, clean and well stocked. This is our second stay there. The view is breathtaking and the cute golf cart is a fun, easy way to get around the island. Please let the owners know how much we appreciate their wonderful get away spot...we hope to go again!

My family rented this beautiful house for a week at Christmas. It was just great! We all loved it! It is cozy but with lots of room! Balconies to enjoy the view that looks just like the Catalina postcards. The management of Civr was great too, making sure everything was perfect. We would love to come back...

Our family of six had a wonderful stay in this great house. Plenty of room for togetherness or to have one's own space. Large well equipped kitchen to eat in and walk to town to eat out. Or take the included golf cart. The best part was the incredible view. Even better than the pictures! Only hiccup would be the Internet access. None in the house, however the island has wifi you can pay to access. Didn't always work though. The house has three levels with stairs, which was fine for us but might be hard for some. Overall, we were very happy staying at 130 Middle Terrace and would definintely stay there again. The customer service was excellent as well.

This is a wonderful destination for families. The view of the harbor is breathtaking in the day and is transformed to outstanding at night. The guest rooms are comfortable and roomy. With the exception of one full room on the second floor which was musty and dark with no view. The kitchen is has mostly new appliances. The freezer does not freeze very well--perhaps needs repair. There is a 120-stair access to avalon which we found fun to walk--stairs not for the light-hearted. Golf cart included is handy for non-stair climbers...

This is our third year staying at 130 Middle Terrace. We have our annual ladies trip and this house is perfect for us, the views and convenience of this house make our trip very special. We love this house and are grateful the owners share it with us. We have already booked for next year. Thank you! That said, we did notice it is not quite as clean as it used to be. I do know how difficult it is to take care of these things in Season, as I have my own vacation property in Capo Beach. When you have groups coming in back to back, it is nearly impossible to find time for deep cleanings and in all fairness, we come at the very end of the Season. Unlike some of the comments, we love the fun, funky decor and don't find it dated at all, it's a beach house! We like that it's not a bland, boring hotel, it has the personality and charm, you can only get from a well loved home. As always Catalina Island Vacation Rentals made everything so easy and nice, it's always a pleasure to deal with them. Thank you!

My family and I decided to stay at 130 Middle Terrace because of the amazing views/4 bedrooms/4 bathrooms/golf cart and spacious layout! Plus there was a surprise upper deck to get some sun or just relax! The kitchen is beautiful and we used the BBQ one night and grilled steaks and fish! It is a short 5 minute walk to town down the hill. Also, the golf cart was awesome to have for my parents whom did not always feel like walking down the steps to town! I searched many homes on Civr before choosing this location and was so glad we choose 130 Middle Terrace and will definitely stay here again!! :) Having so many bathrooms was a huge plus...and the bottom floor/bedroom is kind of a suite with it's own living area attached as well as bathroom! Also, the view from the deck off the kitchen is amazing...we could even spot our family strolling the main street from the deck!
