This house was wonderful. The view from the deck was fabulous. There are a lot of steps to get back and forth from town but completely worth the treck to stay at this charming and large house. Would most definitely stay there again!!!

    Wonderful view, Loved staying there!

There were 10 of us that came and went, the main core was my son, Daughter -in-law and my daughter and son-in law, My husband came for just a two day stay. The grand kids came and stayed for a day or two at different times, they are 21 to 29, Everybody loved the house but it did have its problems, The stairs were one of the major problems ,Usually we go to down at least three or four times not this time we felt kind of house bound, and to take a cab was aprox $17.00 and at 79 years old the stairs felt like a heart test, the bedroom with no windows to the outside was useless very musty and dark and had a smell to it no one wanted to stay in there but all things considered I would stay there again, They do need to purchase a golf cart, We would not mind another couple of a hundred dollars a week for the use of one.The service frome the rental agency was good, the people renting it befor us had taken the remote for the T.V and they brought us up a new one and programed the t.V for it. All in all we loved the place but it did have its warts.

Fantastic view of Harbor and over Avalon.

We have stayed in this vacation home many times for two reasons: 1 - the view from the wrap around deck is unbeatable. Truly stunning! 2 - it is one of the FEW rentals in Avalon that accommodates a group of 10. It's a good ole beach house. We've been here with kids, cousins, parents and there are lots of areas to spread out and have a good time without being on top of each other. The wide deck has lots lounge chairs, a large outdoor table with an umbrella and a corner flagpole. Inside: There's a nice big dinner table placed to make the most of the view. Cozy living room with an eclectic assortment of leather ouch, lounge chairs and rocking chair. The kitchen has been remodeled and has lovely cherry (?) wood and marble counters. There's a convenient clothes line out kitchen door for wet swim suits and beach towels. Also, an easy-access twin bed room on the street/living room/kitchen level. The rest of the house (the other 4 bedrooms) are down steep stairs either one level (the 2 queen rooms and the cavelike bunkbed room) or two levels (the master king bed and washer/dryer.) This house as a whole is best for a physically FIT family as it is quite a mountain goat's climb from beach level, up through the park and up the 129 steps of the "dragon stairs" as the locals call them. Certainly doable and well worth the view--but literally NOT for the faint of heart. (The mini hike inside the house--up three flights from the master bedroom to the main level got my heart pumping every time. I considered it my daily aerobics. ha-ha!) I'm giving this basically charming house 4 stars vs. 5 because the spectacular view and new kitchen pluses are tempered by the dingy old carpeting, the dark pink "cavelike" bunkbed room and the generally well-worn feeling of the bedding and furniture; not at all unusual for high traffic rentals. We certainly have ENJOYED our multiple stays here. I just want to be honest about the accommodations for fellow tripadvisor folk. There are cards and games in the cupboards. We stayed up late watching the lights of the harbor and listening to the sounds of the tourists walking the streets of Avalon. Quite a wonderful vacation feeling to be found here. Come for the room(s) with a view, and be prepared for the healthy hike.
