Avalon Homes - 227 Descanso - 3 bedrooms - 2.50 baths
This is a great two story vacation home located only a block from the beach, and it only has three steps up to the front Dutch door on the side of the home. The first floor offers a spacious open floor plan with a living room area, dining table for six, a breakfast bar with stools facing the kitchen, as well as a half bath and laundry area near the back entrance. You will also find a 46-inch flat panel TV with Blu-Ray DVD player and a gas fireplace for those cool island evenings. All three bedrooms are on the second floor. The master bedroom suite with ¾ bath also has a 42-inch flat panel TV and Blu-Ray DVD player, as well as French doors that open to an outdoor deck offering hillside views. The other two bedrooms have twin beds and 31-inch flat panel TVs, and there is a ¾ bath in the hall. Since there is carpet throughout the home, please leave your shoes just inside the front or back entrance upon entering. (There is a studio apartment attached to the rear of the house which has a year-round resident.)
This property rents on a nightly basis during the non-summer seasons (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted) and on a weekly basis (Sunday to Sunday) in summer (mid-June through Labor Day). Rates vary by week and are subject to change. Rates do not include one-time cleaning and linen fee, 12% City of Avalon occupancy tax, and processing fees.

This three (3) Bed Room two story home is fully upgraded Like new. What a joy to come in from the beach to a Like New home full tile bath rooms (3) prive Master Bed room large with private Balcany for family & friends to enjoy the Beach air. The kitchen, main living room and down stars bath is accesible by all. The upstairs has two (2) bedrooms to sleep four (4) people with a private full bath for use by thes two rooms. The Master bed room with a Large king type bed, private Master Bath & the private balcany Grest fro being outside, fun for evening wine coolers and even smoking. The home is a no smoking inside but out side works for smokers. Large rooms, fresh paint fully titled bath rooms makes this location a dimaond in the renatl market for avalon. Would stay again at this location! David Williamson recomend this unit for any clean loving family of a hide away for lovers!

Loved the location and the deck was really nice. The house was clean except for the carpet. The beds were unconfortable and the couch really needs to be replaced. Overall it was average.

The home was in a great location. We were able to walk everywhere. There were a few minor problems and maintenance knocked on our door 5 minutes after we got home from reporting it. Now that's service! The only negative was the uncomfortableness of all the living room furniture and the filthy carpet downstairs.

My family loved staying in this house which was so close to everything. With a 4 month old in the mix, I appreciated how easy it was to run back to the house if needed. The house is in great condition and we all agreed that it looked better than the photos. We would definitely recommend this home.

Civr went out of their way to arrange a different accommodation for myself and my family when the condo we booked was not satisfactory. The property at 227 Descanso was very comfortable and it saved our entire vacation from being a disaster. This property is near the beach, dining and shopping and even comes stocked with toys and chairs for the beach. I could not find beach towels however. That would have been nice. Civr was also kind enough to retrieve the ring I left at the property and send it back to me. This is the second time I have booked a stay on Catalina through Civr and I would not hesitate to use them again.
