Vacation Rental Summary
Much bigger than I expected - comfortable for our large family group. We did have to ask them to send the cleaners back to re-do the hardwood floors as the kids feet turned black when they ran barefoot, but they responded quickly and solved the problem. We chose the wrong week and had to put up with a jackhammar in the street but can't blame the property management company for something the city was doing. There isn't A/C but open windows worked fine. cudn't get wifi to work but we came up with a workaround. I would definitely recommend the rental. It's a fun location.
The rental was less than a 5 minute walk to the main strip where the shops and water are. Plus, the house was much bigger than we expected, considering all of the places on Catalina are so small. Would definitely consider this place in the future. Lastly, it was easy to work with Civr and the maid came as we were leaving and she was friendly too.
This was our family's first trip to Catalina and 243 Claressa was just what the pictures show. We had 2 little kids and 5 adults in this house and it wasn't crowded. The dining/living area is big and spacious so the kids could play and we all could just hang out. The property is well kept, close to the water and all the restaurants. The team at Civr was great. We had to pick up keys after hours and it all went like clockwork. Really happy with our experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Catalina, and 243 Claressa was the perfect place for our extended family get-togethers! Would recommend it in a heartbeat!!
The condo is relatively new with good accommodation. The trouble is Clarssa is the main route through town and noisy all day. The condo up-stairs may be a day care or a bowling alley. There is no sound barrier between floors.
This was a Thanksgiving vaca with my 2 sons, their girlfriends and my granddaughter. My parents moved to Catalina in 1974 and I lived on the island myself for a couple of years so I'd past by these cute condo/townhouses since my parents move. It is as adorable inside as it is on the outside, very quaint and cozy. There has been some attempt to moderize the inside, though spotty. The remodel looks as though every dollar spent was 'pinched'. We actually made a complete Thanksgiving meal in the semi-equipped kitchen and only needed to purchase a couple of disposable pans. However, the kitchen cabinets were disorganized and somewhat grungy. There was plenty of clean towels (and a washer/dryer) and clean linens. The place was tidy but in need of a thorough deep cleaning. Other than that, there is plenty of comfy sitting space for 6-8 people. The location is great (though located on a busy thoroughfare and noisy at times). We all loved staying at 243 Claressa but we were in unison about how relatively inexpensive it would be to take the place up a couple of notches.
