    Cute little cottage on Catalina

    1 4.00 5

We originally tried to rent a 1-bedroom condo in Avalon, but the owner sold it at the last minute, so Catalina Island Vacation Rentals swapped it out for this cute little cottage. They went the extra mile to provide some amenities which were missing (needed a blender and a Weber BBQ to cook with), and it was cute, clean, and charming. We used the beach chairs provided every day to head down to the beach, and although the washing machine was disconnected (water shortage) the cottage has a drying line for towels, and plenty of fans for air conditioning. Lots of towels as well. The only thing missing was wireless internet, but there was a nice TV with DVD player, and an extra sleeping room in the front with a couple of twin beds. Relatively quiet in the back two bedrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen, so really not much to complain about, if you have a group of 4 or 6 going, and don't mind doing laundry at the laundrymat. Very clean, good location, close to downtown, and flat 3-block walk to the beach.
