This vacation home is the spacious upper level of a duplex. The open floor plan with a cathedral ceiling and large windows in the living room offers a very bright, light living space. Enjoy morning coffee or afternoon beverages on the balcony, accessed from the living room through sliding glass doors. Prepare your meals in the well-stocked kitchen, which also has a bar height counter for enjoying meals and snacks or keeping the cook company. You will find a Cal king bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper for extra sleeping. This home is perfect for 2 to 4 people, and it’s just 19 steps up from the sidewalk.
This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day). Rates subject to change and may vary by week. Rates do not include one-time cleaning and linen fee, 12% City of Avalon occupancy tax, and processing fees.

Vacation Rental Summary
This is a nice small rental. It is upstairs so if you can't climb stairs or have little ones, this one probably is not for you. It is perfect for two people since there is just one bedroom. This is located on a busy street so if you are looking to sleep in, this is not the place. Also, there is one street light on the street which shines right into the house all night long. It would be nice to have a golf cart with this rental as the home is set back three blocks.
My husband and I booked this rental for one week during October. We attended the Jazz Festival on Catalina Island. It was a very bright, clean and well maintained apt. It had a great deck, (we love being above the sometimes noisy streets) with walking distance to the beach and main street. It was great for a couple with a comfortable king sized bed in the back... so very quiet at night and morning. You might be able to have children sleeping on the pull out couch, but we did not test it... We have stayed in many rentals on the island and this was one of the best! We'll be back!
The unit was clean and had the standard features. It reminded us of a middle priced hotel with more privacy and flexibility. The outdoor space with enjoyable and we used it a great deal, but wish it had a BBQ. Walking to town and the beach was fine, about a 1/2 mile. Lack of a golf cart was a problem for food shopping. We would have preferred shopping for staples one time rather than several times.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The use of golf carts is tightly regulated by the City of Avalon, in an effort to keep traffic and parking issues to a minimum. In fact, one of the things that brings guests to Avalon is the ability to walk to wherever you wish to go.
