This property rents on a nightly basis during the non-summer seasons (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted) and on a weekly basis (Sunday to Sunday) in summer (mid-June through Labor Day). Rates vary by week and are subject to change. Rates do not include one-time cleaning and linen fee, 12% City of Avalon occupancy tax, and processing fees.

Vacation Rental Summary
Our family returned to Catalina for the 4th after many previous visits. We've always rented a cottage and we've used this one multiple times. It compares well to others we've rented in the past. It is comfortible, close to everything and has a "deck" which is one of those amentities that we need to relax. Being on the 2nd floor, the deck is large enough for a table seating 6; to BBQ and it has a nice view of the lights at night. Walking only a block will put you at MiniGolf, the tour center and 1 1/2 puts you at the beach. This year we had a small issue with plumbing. As expected I contacted the office someone came to fix it within a couple of hours. This trip we returned to see the 4th Fireworks and it was terrific, but next time we'll come later in summer to miss the 4th crowds. On that type of trip we spend more time at the house, and this one is nicely furnished and very comfortible. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and other necessities making it easy to take care of many meals on site, saving $$$ for nicer dinners or tours while staying within budget. We found the 336 Sumner avenue (upper level)to be just what we needed. It was fully stocked and cared for. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Other than hauling your luggage up some narrow stairs this is a great place to stay. Quiet yet close to downtown. Priced competively. Would stay there again anytime.
Really enjoyed the recent weekend. Great amenities and location. Only negative was that it was difficult to get upstairs with no railing to hold onto. Other negative was shower with no handrail. Bad for some seniors. Otherwise very comfortable.
The place is very cozy. It has everything you need. You really don't have to bring anything. Cose to everything, beach, downtown. It's very nice and clean. I just wish the bathroom sink was bigger. I would definetely come back.
We celebrated our ten year anniversary and the whole family joined us on the Island. We had a house to meet, greet, entertain, cook, relax, and enjoy the island, it was really perfect! The rental company was delightful. The home was perfect for our family. Sweet Charming and made vacation feel as though we were at "Home". It was a slightly longer walk from the beachfront (a flat walk which was really nice), but to have the convinence of a house it was well worth it! I will vacation this way every time we go back!
My husband and I have visited and stayed on Catalina Island many times...however, this is the first time we used this company. Our rental included a balcony/patio with tables and chairs...we invited friends over for a birthday toast and they too were quite impressed with this unit. We have two special events coming up again this year and plan to either rent this unit again or use one of the other rental that you company has...Your staff was exceptional, very professional and friendly...keep up the great job!!! We booked both the upper and lower unit at 336 Sumner with a large group of friends. Both units were great, but this review is for the upper unit only. It was the perfect central location for access to avalon's main street, the beach, grocery store and the golf course. The upper unit deck and BBQ provided a great spot to gather, grill and eat. The kitchen was decent size for preparing meals and came stocked with everything we needed. Both the bedroom queen and living room futon were notably comfortable, with fresh clean linens and plenty of extra pillows and blankets provided. The bathroom was smaller (as expected for the unit size), but worked for our group of two couples staying in the unit together. A hairdryer and fresh towels were provided, so we had the essential items we needed. The rental company was very gracious in allowing us a late noon check-out and early check-in as the unit was already available the morning we arrived. One note of caution: the staircase is very narrow and would not be recommended for families traveling with young children. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and recommend this unit as a great choice for a few couples traveling together.
Check-in and check-out with Civr was fairly easy and the staff was always friendly. This property is supposed to sleep four people but I would say that it sleeps three comfortably because the futon is rather small. Our "starter" supplies were rather inefficient as there was one paper towel left on the roll and no sponge for washing dishes. Also the kitchen sink flooded the first night we did dishes. We called maintenance and they came out to fix it but it clogged up again. The entire rental got really hot at night so it was hard to sleep. I would not stay here again.
Nice place, had all the amenities except a set of linens for the futon!
