We stayed with another couple and there was ample space. More than 6 adults, probably not. Nice open kitched, bedrooms are a decent size, pretty comfortable beds, and clean and modern. They have replaced the uncomfortable coach others complained about in other reviews. For meals, the seating at the bar worked as did the little table/tv stand with bar stools. If you are all looking to sit at one table, not going to happen. Biggest complaint - total lack of pots and pans. We made a simple breakfast - eggs, bacon, hash browns, biscuits. Due to the lack of pans and working with what was there, it took easily 45 minutes to complete. Eating on Catalina is expensive so if you are looking to cook all your meals there...as far as utensils, plates, baking sheets, etc. there is plenty. A coffee pot where the pot and heating element are the same brand would be helpful! We figured this out after when we discovered coffee all over the counter. One of the guys ended up standing there using a spoon to dispense the liquid into the pot. Other than that, it was a great place. I would love to stay there again, we go every May, if the owners can add to the kitchen.

Our stay began when we landed on the island, and found that the staff at Catalina Island Vacation Rentals were rude on the phone. We requested early check-in, but, despite a few phones from us checking on progress, did not get a call that the room was available until 4:30 pm (and they close at 5:00-so it was difficult getting there from where we were on the beach to their office). When we got to the house, it had 3 rooms. One with 2 twins, One with a Double, and one with a Queen. The sofa in the living room is not a sofa bed. So, we were confused as to how that configuration sleeps 8. Regardless, the home is clean, comfortable and updated. No central a/C was not a problem as we are from Southern California, but it may be an issue for some. Only one room (family room) had a window-mounted cooler.

our stay was wonderful,very nice place to rent very roomy and confortable. Close to the beach.. We plan to be here next year.

This is a wonderful house. The only reason I've given it 4 stars is because the sofa bed and recliner in the living room are in poor condition. The rest of the house is charming -- you'll be very pleased. The bbq grill is upstairs, off the master bedroom. We thought it was odd at first but it ended up being one of our favorite gathering place. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Everything about the house is wonderful except the living room furniture. The sofa is so broken down that not only is it uncomfortable but once seated it is very difficult to stand. And the recliner's foot rest will not return to a down position without excessive force. They are also to large for the space. The rest of the house is great.

I have been going to Catalina Island for the 4th of July for about 10 years now, and rent a house/condo every time.. This house has a great location, the kitchen and bathrooms are great, the BBQ was awesome! However, it could use a new bed in the master bedroom and a new sofa bed.. I know it said there was a sofa bed, but the floor was actually better!.
