Think extended family and quiet location, and this is the vacation home for you. This two-level home is located on a private street (no vehicle traffic allowed). It offers a spacious living area with large windows, a dining room, and a large, yet comfortable, kitchen in which to prepare those family meals. All five bedrooms are upstairs and each has its own TV and a collection of books to read. FYI: Fireplace is nonfunctional. A total of 1200 SQ FT. Families only, please. This property rents on a three night minimum basis during the non-summer seasons and on a weekly basis (Sunday to Sunday) in summer (mid-June through Labor Day). Rates vary by week and are subject to change. Rates do not include one-time cleaning and linen fee, 12% City of Avalon occupancy tax, and processing fees. Owner supplies 2 high chairs (one with tray) and pak'nplay portable crib.

This house reminded me of homes in New England due to the diminutive size of the rooms, with the exception of the kitchen. We only had seven of us (less than the ten-person limit), which made the 2 small bathrooms fine for just a few days. Overall it was a pleasant, clean, charming home. It was nice to have on-site laundry.

Grandma, Grandpa,our kids, spouses and grandkids(from 20 months to 15) stayed for four nights over Thanksgiving. Great house for big group, even cooked a Turkey. Lots of fun things to do, and the location was the best.

Great location children can play outside on the closed street! The refrigerator doesn't keep things very cold. Under the rugs doesn't get cleaned by housekeeping staff. Queen bed and king bed aren't very comfortable.

We've been coming to this same house for over 4 years now and have signed up for another week next year. We love the house decor and location. The only negative is the kitchen and bathrooms. Kitchen is antiquated and difficult to work in. The bathrooms are to small for ten people. And, there is a horrible smell in the laundry room. Perhaps the fishing equipment was not cleaned before it was locked up. We had to close the door and put towels under the door to contain the smell.

We loved the cozy house with all the great bedrooms. Our group filled everyone of the beds! Also appreciated was the magnificent selection of books and videos. A house to definitely choose again in the futre. The only disappointing moment was when we could not go up on the roof.
