This is a perfect vacation home for one or two families. Beautifully decorated and spacious, this two story home with lots of windows which provide lots of natural light was totally remodeled in 2008. It sits on a corner lot on upper Claressa with a side patio off the dining area. There's a spacious great room with a living room area and a dining area with a large table plus bar height counter with stools facing the open kitchen. The three bedrooms with Cal King beds have their own private baths. The front upstairs master bedroom features an ocean view from the balcony. All bedroom floors are carpeted, and the remainder of the home's floors are tile. 1900 sq ft
This property rents on a nightly basis during the non-summer seasons (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted) and on a weekly basis (Sunday to Sunday) in summer (mid-June through Labor Day). Rates vary by week and are subject to change. Rates do not include one-time cleaning and linen fee, 12% City of Avalon occupancy tax, and processing fees.

My group and I were happy to realize how easy it was to walk from the ferry landing to the house -- short distance and all flat! It was so convenient to the rest of avalon, too! We were even happier when we walked inside -- high ceilings, lots of light, a huge table for communal dinners, a well stocked kitchen, and an outdoor grill stocked with propane. It was comfortable and inviting and not the least bit shabby. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Thank you. My son's wedding was absolutely perfect. Our house accommodated my family in every aspect. Everyone was comfortable and the weekend was absolutely perfect.

The house was beautiful..even nicer than I thought it would be. Being that this is not the busy time of the year we were able to check in early and check out late which made everything even better. The pictures really don't do it justice. The accomodations and amenities were excellent. Everything you needed was there and then some. Being a few blocks from town we got exercise which was nice for everyone. We had a wonderful time celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our children and grand children. Many happy memories made. I would highly recommmend this house to anyone.

This was the second time we rented 357 Claressa for our family weekend in Catalina. There were ten of us and we were all very comfortable...plenty of seating in the leaving room and also around the long dining table. The house is very well equipped also. We are all looking forward to our return next year.

The home has a great kitchen and facilities for large dinner parties. Anytime we had a problem over the years, which were very few, the management fixed it immediately. The only draw back we comment on each year is that there is no stereo/CD player for to create a music environment during cocktail parties or dinner. Only other slight drawback is it is a good walking distance from the Casino ballroom which becomes an issue for the women in highheels.

This rental was everything we expected it to be. Nicely updated restrooms, kitchen, and rooms. We mostly hung out in the kitchen/family room which was nice because it was able to accomidate all of us comfortibly. Bottom line we would definitely stay here again!

This is the third Thanksgiving holiday we have stayed at 357 Claressa and would recommend the property to anyone, especially family groups. The small problems that did pop up were handle immediately by CIV. The property is about as far away from the beach has you can get in avalon but more than makes up for that with it's size and contemporary furnishings.

Great house! Comfortably slept 10 people and even had plenty of room in the common areas for everyone to eat and kick back and enjoy each others company. No one was left out of the conversation whether you were in the kitchen, the dining area, the living room or even the outdoor patio! The staff was very accommodating,we checked in at 9:30 a.m. and was able to check out by 12 pm. Great place, will definitely be back again!

My wife and I just recently got married on Catalina Island and rented 357 Clarissa for a week. The home was amazing. It served as the hub for all our guests coming from out of town. The house was clean, spacious, and was in a prime location to get to all of our destinations in avalon quickly.

This is a moderately big place with a good layout and plenty of bathrooms. It suffers from a curiously inadequate water flow in the kitchen and the kitchen needs better cooking equipment that one would typically use when preparing meals for 8 to 10 people. The house is on the rental golf cart circuit which means there is a fair amount of golf cart traffic zipping by. You'll find out why some locals have enacted rules to ban rental golf carts from their street while allowing only non-rental golf carts. Summary: a nice, big house that could be really nice with better kitchen gear and better water flow.

Our daughter was married on Catalina during the Memorial Day weekend of 2012, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church. 357 Claressa is right around the corner from the Church. We are a large family and this house provided the space and amenities that we needed for our event. It has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. We entertained in it and we had plenty of sleeping room. It is a great house, and if we return to Catalina as a family again, we will definitely try to rent this house. Kudos to the owners and to how nice the house is kept.
