Hamilton Cove Villa 1-67 - 2 bedrooms - 1.75 baths

Everyone at Civr were excellent..offering half off when the boat was cancelled due to weather..very professional and accomodating. The unit was spectacular, lot of steps, up and down, but worth it for the view. Couches need to be replaced..a little hard to sit on let alone to use as a hide-a-bed. Knobs on stove made cooking a little challenging, they are broken and need to be replaced..we spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the amazing view. Rated it average for the couches and stove..time to remodel..enjoyed all of the boats though.

Enjoyed the stay and the area would stay again. Need real time rental website to be able to book available units without calling someone.

What a wonderful condo. Everything was perfect! Hamilton Cove is the best location on Catalina Island. We attend every year for the Catalina Jazz Festival our 26th Year. When checking in make sure the Taxi drops you off at the top street so you can walk down the stairs not up with your luggage. The golf cart is at the bottom of the condo and can confuse you when checking in. Although this condo has lots of stairs the view is worth it!. The condo is nicely decorated and well stocked with plates, glasses,hair dryer,extra blankets everything you need. The stove worked perfectly. We always book with Chay because she is friendly and efficient. The only negative was our Taxi driver Cab Number 27 picked up at ferry on 10/13/2012 at 1:30pm (said his name was Jose) The Catalina Chamber should investigate this driver. He is not good for tourism. He ran the meter (which is a first) while checking in with the rental office and would not help with the luggage. He tried to drop us off at the bottom of the condo (107 steps up) We have rented this condo before and insisted on being dropped off at the top. I am a travel writer and have to say this is my first time in 26 years on the island getting a rude taxi driver. The most helpful Taxi driver on the island is Salvador he is polite, helps with the luggage and even dropped off our keys. He left a lasting impression of our annual trip. We rented this villa for three nights. We did not realize it did not have air conditioning. It was very hot and hummid when we went. The stove only had two burners that worked and the ice-maker in the refrigerator did not work. The cold water pressure in the master bedroom sink faucet was very slow. It was a very cute villa with a great view. The rental company was very professional and nice. I think if they repair these items it would diffinitely be a five star.

The Condo had beautiful views and was very nice inside. There are 116 steps to climb to get to the condo that we were unaware of. The stairs ended up being a good thing, great exercise! The stove is old and the knobs were loose so at first it was hard to figure out what heat level you were on but we made it work. Overall a perfect condo for a perfect vacation. The pool was nice and the golf gart was great!

Get ready to go up/down a lot of stairs as it's roughly in the middle of the complex but one is rewarded once you step inside. The unit is on a corner which gives it a larger balcony. There is unfortunately no privacy on the balcony if the unit next door is rented and they like using their balcony as well. Ideally for a large family suggest they book unit 1-66 and 1-67 both. The views and the complex are amazing. Incredible at sunset. Pool is average but nice to have at the end of an active day and good for kids. Beach requires beach shoes as it has pebbles to enter. There is a sandy area to sit/barbeque etc.. This unit is small but well laid out. The master has wonderful views but the second bedroom is very small/dark with a bathroom in the hallway that is very close. It needs some upgrades but overall well maintained. The golf cart is the best part. Need to go down the 114 stairs (and back up again when you return) to get it but a ton of fun for kids and adults alike.

We had an excellent time at the condo. The unit was spotless and tastefully decorated. We had our four children with us, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The view was beautiful, as were the condo grounds. The golf cart supplied with the condo was great. The rental agency was courteous and easy to work with. The only drawback is the number of steps down to or up to the condo (about 100 steps). We are fit- but it would be difficult for anyone not in good health.

We had a fantastic time!! The place was comfortable and cozy. The grounds are maintained well and the staff at the office was friendly and accomodating! We really appreciate all of that. We felt as if we had gone to the Mediterranean. Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to stay. There were a lot of stairs -- we were right in the middle -- same amount up as down...but it was good exercise. We will be coming back with my family in September. It is priced great when you split it up between couples...
