Vacation Rental Summary
Loved this place. I went with my wife and twin daughters. It is the nicest place on the island, I'm being told. Best things: golf cart, pool, beach, mediterranean style villas, secluded, own security gate Minor negatives: no ac in rooms- you need to open your windows and let the island air cool your rooms off, very little information given at the start (of the villa, golf cart, etc.) I didn't have a gauge on my golf cart so it was tough to see it if was full or empty. No mention of the wifi password, I had to ask for it. Overall a great great place to go. Highly recommend it.
We enjoyed this unit 1077 very much. Excellent décor 8 steps to an elevator to the 3rd floor.. right next to the beach area. clean rooms and shower areas. Pleasantly surprised. I would recommend bringing your own beach towels and chairs.. need aluminum foil and zip locks bags storage bowls tupperware. your own kitchen supplies oils spices food drinks ect only if you plan on cooking..other wise perfect place to stay. very comfortable and spacious and clean.. we are going back for sure. Thank you.. only 1 thing Golf cart needs upgrade quit old and used.
Catalina Island and Avalon are a great location for a summer holiday, but a villa in Hamilton Cove is even better. You can enjoy the quiet and privacy of the Hamilton Cove beaches and recreational facilities, while the activities and conveniences of Avalon are only a short golf cart ride away.
This was our first time to Catalina and it was fantastic! We are a family of 5 and there was never a time where anyone said I'm bored or I want to go home. Actually, all of us were sad to leave. Our Villa was overall very nice. Only a couple things that were a bit challenging: For some reason our we didn't have enough linens and pillows. It got resolved after two phone calls in two days. The second was a fire alarm alert had been going off all night and continued throughout part of the morning before we left. Apparently it was a known problem. I did get a call from the management company with an apology. Which was great. The only other thing I would suggest to management is the cleanliness around the bed area was below average. A lot of dust and a musty smell. With all this said - We are already planning our next trip to Catalina.
This villa was perfect for my long weekend getaway. We were celebrating multiple birthdays with a group, and the full kitchen allowed me to pack and bring food for the trip. Fantastic decor, and nice little detail amenities like paper towels made such a difference. The view is of the street, with the ocean off to your left. That being said, it's a fantastic building that is steps away from the water, 'beach' and Bbqs, even the pool. Comes with a golf cart and was Great not to have to worry about transportation being 5 mins away from avalon. Building as an elevator, helping with moving in and out. The second bedroom only has twin sized beds, and they are Tiny! (For any couples sharing a villa, you should probably look at one that has different beds.) I would absolutely book this one again, or one in the same building with an ocean view. Catalina is so gorgeous-it seems almost European but is so easy to get to. You can definitely find enough to amuse yourself for days, and to just relax! Snorkel, sail, play-it's all very exotic.
10-77 was great! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay with our three grandchildren. Within walking distance to the pool and a small beach.
