Vacation Rental Summary
Greatview great place Very clean Came with grill to cook Burger patties and hotdogs , I would highly recommend it to anybody !!
This place is extremely dated for the money spent. The furnishings are "decent" but the kitchen ware was unorganized, missing important cooking items, no ice maker, disgusting silverware, plates, etc. Someone really needs to go in and just throw away the bad, re organize and buy some new items that all match and are clean. DO NOT use the dishwasher as it is a complete waste of water and does not work. The first day there we had to do nothing but clean. The rental company did adjust for this but all in all if there were newer items in the house I don't think it would have appeared so bad. The patio furniture is very uncomfortable and one was broken with the appearance that it was ok to sit in, upon arrival my daughter sat in chair and feel hitting her head on the wood railing.
We have enjoyed staying at Hamilton Cove many times over the years, and this is the second-best location we have experienced. Second best because it has a unit above it and we heard noise from the people above who were walking/running often which was very annoying. We have never experienced this before, but have usually stayed in a top-floor unit. Aside from this, the location near the water and the sound of the ocean are hard to beat. Comfortable beds and a nice set-up for two couples with private baths. Golf cart was older and sluggish at times, but great to have it to get to town. Nice to have the washer-dryer in the unit. Recommend additional chair in living room for comfortable seating for four or more. Beautiful view! No wi-fi available in this unit, and no tv's in bedrooms.
Everything was great with the exception of lacking some kitchen amenities such as wine glasses, coffee cups, baking sheet, etc.
We had a family celebration here after a successful brain surgery for my husband and this was the best condo for our purposes. Hearing the water while sleeping and resting was great and the private balcony was enjoyed every day. The place was mostly clean and lovely...and I only say "mostly" because many of the dishes needed to be cleaned before using. We wondered if the policy of asking the renters to wash and put away all dishes used before leaving possibly contributed to this situation. Also, the golf cart was a great part of the rental but filling it before leaving proved problematic because of the extremely limited hours of the gas station that we discovered too late. We loved the overall experience and hope these comments may inspire small improvements for others. We would stay here again,
