This vacation villa is a perfect getaway. We had planned on spending our time in avalon, but after arriving at the villa, we decided to just by some steaks and barbecue, to take advantage of the gorgeous view from the balcony. It was difficult to say goodbye.

What a beautiful condo!! We have stayed in many Hamilton Cove units this one is right up there!!! Beautiful view, roomy and very comfortable!! My only suggestion would of been a larger sectional sofa!! Sorry...but other than that...I would change nothing!! Thank you

We rented this condo with another family for 3 nights. The place was clean, beautiful views and great location. I would absolutely tay here again!

The overall vacation was a lot of fun. I am sure Hamilton Cove is the nicest place to stay on Catalina and the location is great. For the price, the unit was a bit run down, there were tears in the furniture with stuffing coming out, the cooking equipment was old and dirty. There was not any air conditioning - and the fan in the family room was not working. Some of the outdoor furniture was cracking and broken. Also, there was a sign taped to the CD player that it was not working. It was pretty clear either the owners or the management company were not willing to spend the money to make a few simple repairs that would improve the quality of the home significantly. The view was beautiful - but because of the solid balcony wall, you could not really see the water when you were sitting down in the family room - strange design. Also, we would have appreciated it if some beach towels had been provided - I have never stayed in a beach rental home where they were not. I would probably try a different unit next time, unless it is upgraded a bit. The golf cart was fun to use - but it also was in need of maintenance - the window was not bolted down to the car, and was shaking around a lot - it did not seem real safe. Overall, the unit has great potential - but needs some work. Hamilton Cove itself is a beautiful location and Catalina Island is a great family getaway.

Villa H1869 has recently changed ownership and the renovations are quite spectacular. Check out the photos on our website, as the first bedroom entry has changed, and the villa has been totally updated with new paint, furniture (inside and out), and the golf cart maintenance has been taken care of.
