The only place to stay if your going to Catalina with the family. Nice place to look forward to going after a day in busy downtown Avalon . This condo was nice and was close to pool , ocean , and had a great view. Bonus you can cook and grill your own dinner so you don't have to chase back to town. Very well kept property

The apartment 1882 was really beautiful and the view was amazing. It was very easy and we loved the golf cart. The toaster situation was a little frustrating. Neither toaster worked. The location and the beautiful deck were wonderful.

A very satisfying & relaxing vacation

The rental was excellent. The view was great - the swimming pool was refreshing, two Tv's - first class in every respect, but the icing on the cake was the free use of the golf cart. I can't imagine a vacation without the use of a golf cart on Catalina. My only complaint is the extensive use of 30 minute and one hour parking limits. It smacks of a fund raising tourist trap and was extremely irritating, almost to the point of vowing to never return for another Catalina vacation. All of the tours we went on were at least an hour or more in duration, plus they want you to check in 15-30 minutes early, plus the 15 minutes or so to walk from the parking spot to the departure point. As a result, you are in violation of the parking limit the minute you park the cart. My wife and I are both handicapped, but we could not use the very few handicap spaces because we had no proof with us of our handicap status (we have California handicap plates on our car at home). Fortunately, our rental agency agree to take care of the unreasonable $38.00 citation, which really eased the pain. If Catalina officals really want to improve the tourists impression of the 'Catalina Experience', eliminate those bandit parking limits - or at least, make them a reasonable 2 hours or more. I overheard numerous complaints about this during the 5 days we were there. Driving the golf cart around town was the most fun that we and the kids had, so why would you want to just park it for an extended period of time? There is no justification for a parking limit on Catalina except to raise money for the city, which every tourist recognizes. It really dimishes your image as the 'go to' vacation place. And if you really, absolutely require this revenue source, make it a reasonable $5 or $10 - not a vacation spoiling $38!
