Vacation Rental Summary
The place was nice. The dishwasher did not work and although someone came to repair it, it still did not work, therefore we had to wash dishes. That wasn't too good. The unit was a lot smaller than the previous one; and there wasn't much seating for friends to visit who were also staying in another unit. With that being said, the overall experience was great.
We stayed here in September of 2014. The condo was very clean and it had a lovely location and a lovely view. We enjoyed the moonrise and sunrise each morning. The problems were this....we were told there was a pull out couch for extra sleeping. The pull out couch had springs coming out of it and was the worst mattes i have ever seen. Also....we were super excited about the golf cart experience and the golf cart for this unit was clunky and needed a tune up. If the mattress and golf cart were as described....i would give it 5 stars.
We went to Catalina with 2 other couples and rented this one bedroom and they had the two bedroom next door that shared the balcony. It was AWESOME! Very few steps to get to the front door, well equipped kitchen and the furnishings were great. The king bed was comfortable and the view was amazing. We could watch the dolphins and seals playing in the water every morning and evening. The golf cart was the best thing ever, we used it to go to town for groceries, site seeing and restaurants. It was a must have and a welcome addition to the already outstanding property. There was a problem with the sewer system while we were there (nothing that could have been foreseen) and we had to leave a day early but the rental company made every effort to accommodate us in another property and let us keep the golf cart for the day. We have dubbed this our "Sr. Citizen Spring Break" and we will return to this property.
Condo was just as presented. The bed was good, the kitchen and bath were updated and beautiful. The 200 or so stairs down to the pool and spa sort of made those amenities less desirable. But the views, the pods of dolphins which played off shore every morning and afternoon, wow! Sort of like your own luxury tree house above it all. The golf cart needs to be serviced or the engine updated - fumes. But the same cart made the town's restaurants and amenities accessible and exploration of the City a super fun and easy adventure. We rented through Civr, which was friendly and professional. Friends rented through craigslist and paid half for a different unit, perhaps not so nice as this.
