    Amazing getaway!

We love Hamilton Cove. This was my second time here and my husbands first. Check-in isn't normally until 3 but we arrived early and were able to get into our room by noon. This unit is two stories with private balconies on both floors with beautiful views from both. We immediately got in our golf cart (which was in way better condition than the one I got in a different unit) and drove to Vons to stock up our fridge for the weekend. Btw, having a golf cart for the entire weekend is the best. We drove all over checking out homes, the botanical gardens and saw so many things we wouldn't have seen without one. You will pay like $60-$80/hr to rent one in town for just a couple hours. You do not get cell phone coverage at Hamilton Cove but you can walk up to the front gate and get service there. I was also pleasantly surprised to have internet access in this unit. Our only complaint was that the bed is very hard. And the cleaning fees are a bit much when you are required to take out your own trash and do the dishes. Oh, and also...on our last night there, we got a flat tire on the golf cart so we called the after hours # and were reimbursed for our taxi back. Very impressed with Civr. I highly recommend renting from them and not directly with Hamilton Cove. We will definitely be back and stay at this exact unit again!!!

We had an awsome weekend on the Island. The stay was enhanced by the awsome Villa overlooking the water. The included golf cart made it easy and fun to get to avalon and tour the Island. We'll definitely be back!

We have stayed at Hamilton Cove many times over the two decades with friends and family. This unit was perfect for the two of us to celebrate a special occasion. The kitchen was fairly well equipped except there was no pot large enough to cook pasta and the outdoor grill was not functioning. The view was terrific for watching the incoming boats and the Catalina air Show.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Hamilton Cove Villas. I rented a 1 bedroom condo close to the private beach and woke up to the sounds of the waves and the sunrise over the water. It was beautiful. The condo was perfectly decorated and supplied with everything needed to enjoy my stay. It was a wonderful gift to myself to celebrate my birthday!

This is a beautiful condo in a beautiful location. Unfortunately we had plans, and pre-shopped, to bbq and the bbq didn't work. That should have been declared up front. The kitchen is poorly stocked with old pans, limited selection of utensils, and zero spices and condiments. For the price, these basic items should be stocked. The floor was extremely dirty. We realized after walking barefoot in the home the firts day, that we had to wear shoes or get black feet. We enjoyed our trip, but it could have been much better with a little cleaning and updating of pans/utensils. (A working bbq of course.

We like the location close to the beach. We find the maintenance was falling behind. The mattress was like cement. We paid for wifi that was non-existent.

First off let me say that the folks at Catalina Island Vacation Rentals are awesome. We were able to check in early as the helicopter gets you there quick. We walked into the office at 8:30am and were on our way to the villa in less than 5 minutes. When we got there we were amazed at the peace and quiet around the villas. Great reason to go during the week. We had the pool, spa, beach, the exercise room all to ourselves it seemed. Never saw anyone on the tennis court but didn't get time to use it. The view was spectacular. The golf cart was an awesome addition and well worth staying at HCV. We carted all over the place. Got our food at the Vons in avalon and had (most) all our meals at the villa. When we got there the BBQ was out of propane and one call to Denny at CVR and he took care of that in a flash. We were very blessed the three days we stayed. Catalina Island is a great getaway. We got to check out late (4pm) as our boat ride was for 6pm) for a $50 fee. Be prepared to pay for gasoline, $6.15 per gallon but the golfcart was mileage friendly :). Nothing in town, hotels our rental houses can compare to the value and view you get at HCV. Did I mention the view? Next visit we will stay in the 18 building. Great views from there. More expensive as most are two bedrooms I think. Hope this helps others. Thanks Civr for making our anniversary a memorable experience.
