Hamilton Cove Villa 1-60 - 2 bedrooms - 1.75 baths
This is a light and bright, impeccably decorated two bedroom, 1 3/4 bath corner villa that offers incredible ocean views from the living area, master bedroom and balcony. There is a bay window in the living area and french doors that open to the balcony from the living area and the master bedroom. The interior of this villa was recently refreshed with new paint and furnishings. Both bedrooms have queen beds. Extra bedding is accomplished by arranging the sectional sofa and automans into a 'sofa bed' the size of a king bed. The washer/dryer are conveniently located in a small room just outside the front door of the villa. The villa and views are worth every one of the steps up to the property, plus it has wireless internet and a new 4-passenger limo style golf cart.
Rental of a vacation home in Hamilton Cove includes use of the community’s amenities (pool, spa, health club, putting course, tennis courts, croquet court, sand volleyball court and beach area). Vacation Rental Summary
Honestly, I was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews. Turns out I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was cleaner than I expected aside from the horribly stained area rug. They should really replace it even if they have to do it every few summers, it really devalues the condo. Beds were comfy, plenty of extra bedding. One thing I was Upset about and I know two of my guests were too was the fact that the couch doesn't fold out at all. In the description it stated a king size fold out. Well, nope. My couch guests were very uncomfortable slipping off the leather couches and sticking to them. Big let down. View was incredible.
I had read some not so favorable reviews about this unit before renting it, but it was pretty much the only one that fit my needs at the time. Its disappointing to see that these units could be much nicer than they are. I rated the unit average because its like any other business. As long as they can keep people renting it, there is no real need to keep it anything above average. The white covers on the sofa and chair need to be seriously cleaned are thrown out. We put covers over the covers because they are simply nasty. In one of the bedrooms the comforter was just as nasty...the sheets were clean as was the topper under the comforter so we just removed the comforter. The unit has a grill which would have been perfect, but it was so dirty it was beyond use. By the way, I mentioned all these things when we checked out and I got the impression...they had heard it all before...I was left with the old..."we'll get on it right away"...sucker! If you plan to save money and do some serious cooking...don't. The kitchen was nice except one of the stove top burners didn't work (electric), but there are no really decent pots and pans to use...so bring your own and actually I brought a stove top grill pan which we made work for most everything we cooked. Look...the view is truly amazing!! Its quite a climb up the stairs to the unit, but you can actually walk down to the unit as well...so upon arrival with luggage...make sure the taxi lets you out at the upper 60/70 series units. Took us a day or so to figure that out. There are probably better units and there are probably worse units. The bathrooms were fine with plenty of clean towels and we were able to do laundry just outside the unit which is a huge plus for us...don't like traveling with dirty clothes. Internet took some time to figure out. If it doesn't work and you can't get it to work based on the instructions...push the reset button on top of the black router...it worked perfectly after that.
