Island Express Helicopter Service
Take the Long Beach (710) freeway to the Queen Mary (follow the
signs that say Port of Long Beach/Queen Mary, then just the Queen
Mary; the freeway ends there); enter the Queen Mary parking lot
entrance. Keep to the right and follow the signs saying ”Heliport.”
They will take you to the last parking lot. Park on the right side;
the offices are about 200 feet from the parking area. You will have
to walk across a service road, so be careful of the traffic. You can
also take the service road on the right side of the Queen Mary
parking lot ticket entrance to the Island Express offices for pick
up and drop off. Ask for special rates given to guests renting
through Catalina Island Vacation Rentals!
Catalina Explorer
The boat leaves from the Pine Avenue Pier in the Rainbow Lagoon in
downtown Long Beach. From the Long Beach (710) Freeway South, take
the Downtown/Aquarium exit, which becomes Shoreline Drive. Follow
the blue Convention Center signs to Pine Avenue. Turn right into the
cul-de-sac for luggage and passenger drop off and instructions for
proper parking.
Catalina Express
Downtown Landing Terminal (320 Golden Shore): Take the Long
Beach Freeway (710) south into Long Beach. Stay in the left lane,
follow the signs to downtown and exit Golden Shore. Turn right at
the stop sign, follow around to the Terminal on the right. Parking
is in the parking structure on the left. Parking at this location
requires payment by cash or check. Credit cards are not accepted.
Queen Mary Terminal (1046 Queens Highway): Take the Long
Beach Freeway (710) south. Follow all signs to the Queen Mary. Enter
the Queen Mary parking lot and follow the blue line to the Catalina
Express parking lot. You will purchase your ticket in the Catalina
Express Port Office, which is located next to the Queen Mary.
