Advance Reservations

Reservations are accepted up to one year in advance, and reservation dates will be confirmed. CIVR will make every effort to honor rates and property assignments; however the potential for circumstances beyond our control makes the guarantee of rates and property assignments impossible.

Catalina Island Vacation Rentals (CIVR) reserves the right to change property assignments if circumstances beyond our control make your reserved property unavailable. CIVR will attempt to reassign you to another property of comparable quality, however since our rentals are privately owned homes, we cannot guarantee such.

Security Deposit

We request and keep on file a credit card number (VISA, MasterCard) with signed authorization from you in lieu of a security deposit. The credit card will be charged for any excess cleaning, damages to the property, its contents, or the property's golf cart, Home Owner Association fines based on infractions of Association Rules and Regulations during your stay, traffic fines, or other guest expenses incurred during your stay, and if there are any violations of the rental agreement. If the rental property does not experience any of the above, NO charge will be made, for same, to your credit card.

You can choose to exercise a Non-refundable Damage Deposit Waiver option, at a cost of $35, at the time you place your reservation, which will relieve you of costs for all unintentional and incidental damage to the property and its contents up to $1500. This Damage Deposit Waiver does NOT cover intentional damage, excessive cleaning, or payment of fines.

Cancellation Policy

If the reservation is cancelled 60 or more days prior to arrival, a cancellation fee of $50 will be charged. If the reservation is cancelled 30 to 59 days prior to arrival, you will forfeit your $200 booking deposit. If the reservation is cancelled within 29 days prior to arrival, the full rent and processing fee, less the cleaning fees and sales tax, will be forfeited unless the property is re-rented, at which point you will be charged the $50 cancellation fee.
