This lovely upgraded home, with a new front porch, is just a few blocks from the beach and shopping. Enjoy the 42-inch plasma TV in the living room, and as a bonus, there's another one in the master bedroom! The well-stocked kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and counter seating. Hardwood floors and all new baths make this a great vacation home. Bonus: window AC units have been added in the living room and the master bedroom. A total of 1300 SQ feet.

This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day). Rates subject to change and may vary by week. Rates do not include one-time cleaning and linen fee, 12% City of Avalon occupancy tax, and processing fees.

This was a very nice house for six of us (parents, two girls, and two boys). The location was ideal for access to everything Avalon has to offer. The only issue was that the upstairs guest bedroom (two twins) was too hot for anyone to sleep in, even with the ceiling fan and a floor fan on high. We highly recommend a window a/c unit for the guest/second bedroom upstairs.

We checked in to 338 Sumner yesterday afternoon. This place is wonderful. I've rented numerous houses in Avalon over the years and the Sumner home is the best, hands down. It is very clean and extraordinarily well appointed. And...everyone I've dealt with in the CIVR office has been cheerful and helpful. Thank you for a terrific experience.
A Great House for Family Vacation

This house meets our family needs for our yearly Catalina Vacation. Sometimes homes require repairs during summer's hard use! Just call CIVR and they will send someone to repair whatever issue arises while you are all playing at the beach, hiking, snorkeling or scuba diving. The home has some very nice updates from 2014. Thanks to the owner. We will see you next year!

This house is very nice looking, however, main bathroom shower didn't work leaving six of us using one shower upstairs. They advertise air conditioning. Good thing it wasn't hot as A/C only in living room. House is not insulated, you could hear next door neighbors talking until 3 a.m. Golf carts traveling up alley at 2 a.m. Not a good place to stay with small children trying to sleep.

We stayed here 5 days over the Easter holiday with our adult kids and the grandkids. The house is in a short walk to everything. Lots of room for everyone to be comfortable. We were famililar with this home, but the new front porch with rocking chairs was so nice to relax with our wine and appetizers in the evening. The upper balcony has new patio furniture and a new BBQ, so there was room for all of us to sit and dine. I noticed older reviews said "there should be more pots and pans". We cooked a full Easter meal, and there are plenty of pots, pans and dishes now. Enjoyed every minute of our time, like home away from home!
