Like it or not, the holiday season is rapidly approaching. On Catalina Island, the holiday decorations will soon be hung and the community Christmas tree will soon shine from Crescent Avenue. Several local events will make this a December not to be missed, whether you’re looking for shopping, music or a peek at some of Avalon’s most impressive homes.
On Dec. 4, Pet Photos with Santa at Catalina Coastal Tours & Fishing, between 2pm-5pm located at 103 Sumner Avenue. Bring your pet to take a photo with Santa, all proceeds go to the Catalina Island Humane Society.
Shop Catalina has become a harbringer of the holidays in Avalon. Shoppers will have an entire week, as part of the Catalina Island Christmas tradition, Shop Catalina has endured for two decades and still brings together Catalina retailers and those eager to avoid the mainland mall madness –whether they are Island visitors or residents. The 28th Annual Shop Catalina is scheduled December 4 through Saturday, December 11 to visit each participating retailer to pick up their Discount Card (valid through December 24).
