Awesome View! Private and Relaxing! **VRBO GUEST** – Sep-16

This unit is our favorite Hamilton Cove condo. My wife and I live in Long Beach just a short boat ride away so we try to get over to Catalina three or four times a year. Although the island is close to home it definitely has a more relaxed atmosphere and feel to it. Great for extended weekend trips. Hamilton Cove itself is outside of town and is a gated community so it’s not so touristy busy. In fact, in the off-season is downright quiet. It’s built into the hillside and is like Mediterranean villas. We have stayed in a number of the other Hamilton Cove condos, but we always try to come back to this one. The view is breathtaking, not to high up and not too low down. You can see the ocean from every room. There are two French double doors from the living room and the alcove that go out onto the balcony. There is also a door from the master bedroom that leads out to the balcony. We always throw open all the doors as soon as we arrive so the balcony becomes part of living space. This condo is an end unit and we very rarely ever see anybody on the balcony next to it, so it has a very private feel even with all the doors open. Also, as an end unit there is a second small private patio (with a barbecue). This one has a fireplace which we didn’t get in most of the other condos. We noticed that the kitchen appliances and living room furniture were recently upgraded. The kitchen is outfitted well for cooking. One of the best things about this unit is the number of stairs. Hamilton Cove doesn’t have elevators. Some of the condos are literally 100 stairs away from the road. Carrying luggage and groceries up or down 100 stairs gets old fast. This unit only has four stairs (4!) to the road and is only about 20 yards to where the golf cart is parked. The golf cart use is included in the rental. This unit’s golf cart is much newer than most and even has a car stereo in it. It seats four so the trips to and from town are pretty comfortable. **VRBO GUEST**
