Comfy home for a getaway *VRBO GUEST* – May-19

We rented this home to attend a family wedding. My husband and I stayed upstairs and our adult children stayed downstairs. This arrangement worked very well. This home was clean and well furnished. We found the beds to be comfortable but the pillows were broken and flat. We had plenty of towels in the bathrooms. Like just about every home in Avalon, this one has its quirks…the stairs don’t have much headroom, but the offending projection is well marked. The upstairs outlets were not working so we had to rely on the bathroom lights for illumination. Fortunately, we were attending wedding events at night so this didn’t really affect our use of the space. The back bedroom downstairs can only be accessed thru the front bedroom or the bathroom. This house is located at an intersection used by tour buses and golf carts to access the road up the hill so it was a bit noisy during the day. However, we found it to be pretty quiet at night. We enjoyed the large deck. We did not cook but the kitchen was clean and had everything we needed to make coffee and reheat leftovers. It would be nice if they provided a second coffee maker in the upstairs kitchenette. I brought the coffee maker upstairs since we are early risers, and then moved it downstairs and made coffee for the younger folks who got up later. Overall, we agreed this rental worked very well for us and would stay here again.
