FIVE STARS – almost! – Sep-18

Five of us had a great family vacation at Villa 18-72. After many stays in Hamilton Cove, I must say 18-72 is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed, with most definitely the best view which includes just the tip of Casino point. The accommodations are very comfortable. There were a few relatively minor things that could use some attention. PLEASE FIX THE ICEMAKER! I reported this to the office shortly after we arrived when there was ONE tray of ice in the freezer and NOTHING in the icemaker which, apparently. does not work. Nothing was done about it during our stay, so we made do with ice bags from Vons and constantly refilling the ONE ice cube tray. For the most part, the kitchen is well-stocked with nearly everything you’d need, but we couldn’t find any pot holders anywhere. There were TWO bbq’s, for some reason, but neither one of them worked very well. There are lots of motion-activated lights as well as a surprising motion-activated, self-flushing, heated seat toilet in the master bedroom (we’d rather have had an icemaker!). The motion-activated light in the second guest bedroom with adjoining bathroom goes off while you’re taking a shower. A bit of a design flaw, but not totally critical – unless you’re afraid of the dark! Overall, it’s a beautiful place to stay and, as a bathtub connoisseur, I must say that I’ve never enjoyed such a lovely soaking bath as I did in this place. The bathtub is fantastic!!! We will definitely return, but PLEASE – fix the icemaker!!
