**Great location; Lots of Space – Oct-20

For what we paid, we were very happy with his house. This home has a lot of space…7 beds plus an aerobed and plenty of living room seating and dining room seating. There were only 4 of us so plenty of room. The dining area is amazing – huge table was great for meals or games (and the house was very well stocked with games). The house also included a golf cart which was why we originally booked it but it turned out we didn’t really need it (we drove less than a 1/4 mile with it total but it worked fine for that drive). The house is in a wonderful location in the flat area of Avalon and so easy to walk to everything. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was a good size and there seemed to be plenty of cooking tools. There were ceiling fans (and extra portable fans) throughout the home and this was key because it was a very hot weekend. 2 bathrooms were nice and good water pressure and hot water. There is a washer/dryer (but when I asked the rental agency I was told there was not)—we didn’t use it but the agency should update the listing to make clear if the W/D is available for use or if not, then they can note that also. The things that kept this from being a 5 star stay for us are below (these are minor issues that didn’t really impact our stay and we didn’t complain about any of them during our stay because we didn’t want a maintenance person coming in but hopefully the rental company will read this and address as needed): 1. Downstairs shower leaks/constantly dripping. It might be the nature of the fixtures that are in there but worth someone looking at. Also, the fixture handles are too large and overlap each other making it difficult to adjust temperature properly…not a big deal overall but especially harder for kids to use. 2. The downstairs couch is worn is a few areas (not visibly worn but the cushion is worn so you can feel the springs). The bedding is pretty work also. 3. The upstairs sink is slow to drain. In, the upstairs shower, the cold water handle is broken and continuously turns…have to line it up right to get the water to stop. 4. Door handles, drawer handles and other hardware throughout are broken or loose in a few places. Great location amenities. With a little handyman help and some furniture/bedding updating, this place would be perfect.
