Description

No residence in Avalon can rival this lovely property that affords 180 degree panorama views of the harbor and canyons from almost every room, yet is only a minute’s walk to the water’s edge. Maintaining the privacy of a Tuscany hilltop home, each bedroom is tastefully appointed and newly furnished. One bedroom, which opens onto a separate balcony, has a king bed and an accompanying bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and single bed with an adjoining bathroom. There is a large kitchen with an ample island for eating and visiting and sliding doors that open onto a lovely deck. There are 2 living rooms, one with a new queen size pullout sofa.

This home has 2 large decks with comfortable patio furniture on each with areas for relaxing, barbecuing, and eating while enjoying the spectacular views (the side deck where the BBQ is located is shared). New gas appliances, adorable bathrooms, hardwood floors, and walkways with Catalina tiles will make your stay in Catalina the most memorable vacation you could ever have!(It's absolutely worth every one of the 48 steps up to the property.) Bedroom floors have carpet, bathroom floors are tile, remaining floors are hardwood with area rugs. TV in each bedroom; a small 13".

This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day).

The views from this property cannot be beat, simply breathtaking!! Nor can the location be beat, walkable to everything including from the ferry but far enough away to enjoy the views from a distance! The space in general was also perfect and the kitchen was fully stocked. The only "complaints" we had were some misses on cleanliness, could use a deep clean in the bathrooms and kitchen, many of the pillows and cushions had stains but again, the VIEW! Also the internet/wifi was almost unusable unless you sat on the floor in front of the router , not necessarily a real complaint as we were on vacation and really enjoyed this property and would stay there again for sure!

This was a very nice and convenient location to stay at. The view is absolutely incredible, and the balcony provides a great place to sit and enjoy it. Its a short (uphill) walk from the ferry, and about 2 minute walk from anything you might want to do. Biggest thing to keep in mind is the ~50 stairs you need to go up/down to get into the apartment.

Beautiful location with great view to the harbor and a quick walk into the center of Avalon. Nice space with one bedroom on each side of the house, giving everyone some private space, along with lots of room to hang out inside and out. Self checkin and checkout were easy, with clear instructions from the host.

We had such a relaxing stay. The views are breathtaking - we spent so much of our time just relaxing on the porch overlooking the town and harbor. We were so happy in the home we opted to order in one night to enjoy our space. VERY easy walk to town. If you are OK with carrying your bags, save yourself the $15 cab ride and walk to the home from the harbor. I would definitely recommend this property!

We had the best time! Cooked a few meals, sat on the deck every night. Owner takes pride in this home. Bring laundry detergent, beach towels and beach chairs or you can rent them at the dock.

Great place to stay. Walking distance to everything. Views were amazing with a lot of outdoor space. Two living rooms gives you plenty of space for everyone. Great big kitchen to cook in and a washer and dryer was wonderful. Beds were ok, could used better linens and towels. Only downside was the there was quite a bit of mold in the bathrooms and showers and sinks didn’t drain well. Things that can be easily fixed. Just overall thorough cleaning of the property would make this a gem!

We celebrated my daughter’s 17th birthday weekend with four of her girl friends for a total of six people. This property is IDEAL for Tik Tok-video sharing girls who wanted to show their Kardashian-ish photo sessions on social media. This property MADE our trip! The view is unbelievable with an unobstructed 180 degrees view of the Harbor. It is SUPER clean and very spacious. It has all the amenities to host dinner parties for six with an incredible view. Most of the time we were just staring at the Harbor and didn’t really want to leave the property. We will definitely be back to stay at this place again (as it has probably spoiled us for any other property). Owners are upstairs and are very nice and accommodating to all our needs. Thank you for allowing us a little piece of heaven at your property!!

PS. My family and I have stayed in VRBO and AirBNB properties for the past 20 years. This property has made our top three list!

This property is amazing! There are three decks you can enjoy and the view of the waterfront is not reflected properly in photos - it's gorgeous! The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the layout, which is nice from a privacy perspective. It is light and sunny and there is a lot of space. The property owner checked in with us as we left to make sure we enjoyed our stay and to request feedback. The property management company is extremely professional and well-run. It gave us a lot of confidence that our trip would run smoothly. This may be taken care of in the future, but we were happy we brought our own laundry detergent and wine opener, as the property did not have these two items. Honestly, after walking around Catalina for three days I was more and more convinced that we stumbled upon a hidden gem. So beautiful and I've already recommended this place to two other couples. Thank you!

Our family just returned relaxed, refreshed and inspired from a four-night stay in this beautiful retreat. The view from both living areas, kitchen, two patios and master bedroom is awe-inspiring, we simply could not get enough! The kitchen is well-provisioned and the entire unit is meticulously clean and well-appointed with comfortable yet functional furnishings. The location is ideal: close to the heart of Avalon's action, but perched along the hill to feel peaceful and at ease. We can't wait to return during warm weather, however with so many wonderful windows you get all of the benefit of being outside but with the cozy warmth of a great heater and couches! This would be a great unit to visit during any season—a real treat.

My family of six (three couples) recently spent 3 nights at this lovely home. The home is nicely furnished, very comfortable and quiet at night. The deck overlooks the bay and provides gorgeous views. You can watch the boats arrive and depart. It is an easy walk from the rental office and the ferry and within walking distance of everything in Avalon. My family loved this home, so we highly recommend it for a stay in Avalon!

Perfect Balance of View and Proximity to Town

Just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay with another couple. Each of the bedrooms had an en-suite bathroom. The views were fantastic and we spent much time on the deck just kicking back. But when we wanted to go into town, all we had to do was walk down the stairs and we were just very short walk into town. Be warned that there are almost 70 stairs from the curb to the unit. But in exchange, you get the great view and closeness to town. You do not need a golf cart unless you want to explore the island. If you are the hiking type, try the Hermit Gulch Trail to the skyline. I recommend going counter clockwise to end at the Botanical Gardens. The trail head is only 15-20 minutes from the home, but the actual hike will take about 2.5 hours. We will definitely stay here again.

The pictures of the incredible property do not even do it justice! We stayed here for the week leading up to my wedding and rented both the upper and lower properties and HIGHLY recommend everyone to do the same!
