Welcome to 334 Eucalyptus - Avalon House!

This two-story, four-bedroom house is the perfect vacation (or work remotely) home for your family, located on the only vehicle-free residential street in Avalon. The main floor has an open floor plan with living, dining areas and kitchen, as well as a bedroom and full bath. Upstairs are 3 additional bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and a sun-filled deck. The home has been recently updated with new appliances and decor, and has stone tile floors throughout. Special amenities include: a standing desk and monitor in the main bedroom for working remotely; outdoor shower; an outdoor sofa, counter/sink and bar refrigerator on the deck; gas fireplace in the living room; beach towels and beach chairs; water filter on kitchen sink; also enjoy giant jenga, corn hole, and a wide selection of games. This is a "green" house featuring solar electric panels, tankless hot water heater, double pane vinyl windows, extra insulation and salt water toilets. This home is located in the middle of town, three blocks from the beach and half a block from grocery.

This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day).

Better than expected home in Catalina Island. We hadn’t been to the island in over 20 years. One major plus is that it’s in a closed street which was great for the kids to play on without the worry of vehicle/golf cart traffic. Vons is a stones throw from the house so don’t worry about packing stuff from home. Vons is pretty well stocked but the lines can be longer because it’s the only grocery store in the island.

We had a great time overall and communication was quick and easy. Everything you need is at the house minus a golf cart.

This perfect retreat has been so thoughtful and put together to give guests the perfect home away from home. So many tasteful touches. We both worked and played and did not need anything else. Three of us were able to set up comfortable work areas with ease. At break time or when work was over the location of this home offered easy walks to the water or mountains trails to breath taking views of the island. There was no shortage of fun things to do or great places to eat. The grocery store just a block away could not have been more convenient. This home is a gem and Catalina is the perfect get-away. I could not recommend staying here enough!

For the past 6 years we spend 4-5 days in Catalina each summer with our children, which are now young adults. This is our first time at this property and we really liked it, though we have liked all of the properties we have stayed at for various reasons. The property was recently remodeled and was clean and fresh. It was nice to have the washing machine to wash the towels midway through the stay.

We would definitely book this one again if available.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was perfect for our family. So many homes claim to "sleep 6 or 8" and they involve a common room sleeper sofa. This home had beds for 8. Comfortable space for everyone. **VRBO GUEST**

This is a great house; clean, modern and big!! Love that it's on a street closed to cars and golf carts. Had games, puzzles, dvd players, lots of kitchen supplies and fans in each room. Overall we had a great time at the house, only negative, and maybe because we came late in the season, was upstairs carpet looked stained and spotted . But, we will definitely come back next summer!! **VRBO GUEST**

This house looked even better than the pictures. The rooms were large and the tile floor was throughout the house. The living room was large enough for our group to gather and play board games in the evenings and it was close to everything for us to go out and explore easily during the day. Would happily stay here again.
