Great ocean view from this top floor, one bedroom villa (King size bed)with cathedral ceilings. Enjoy the views from the private balcony off the dining area and the large common balcony out front. The living room offers a Queen air matress, 46-inch flat panel TV in living area and free WiFi. Quick walk to the pool, spa, and health club. Only 10 steps to the villa from the road and a total of 900 SF. On chilly nights curl up in front of the wood burning fireplace (there are additional space heaters provided for your comfort). Come enjoy all the amenities Hamilton Cove has to offer. H962

Rental of a vacation home in Hamilton Cove includes use of the community’s amenities (pool, spa, health club, 18-hole putting course, tennis courts, croquet court, sand volleyball court and beach area with built in barbecues and picnic tables). Some restrictions may apply. Occupants subject to Hamilton Cove Homeowners Association Rules & Regulations.

This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum July & August).

Loved this condo so much. I called it “ The Golden Girls Condo.” The decor was super cute and had a ‘Golden Girls’ vibe. We didn’t want to leave. The views were amazing. Our little piece of heaven we had for 3 nights and 4 days! The golf cart was a plus. It was definitely needed to get around since the heart of Avalon is further away and it came in handy the few times we went to the grocery store (Vons). It is a little outdated, and a little slow getting up the hills but it did the job. It didn’t bother as much. We just laughed about it because we were so happy to be there. Other than that, it ran fine. We also visited the private beach that was on Hamilton Cove . It was so nice to wake up every day and drink coffee looking at the ocean views! Thank you for letting us use your beautiful condo! It was an amazing experience.

My husband and I rented this condo in Hamilton Cove for our anniversary. This was our first time staying in Hamilton Cove. It sort of makes you feel you are in Greece when you look at the villas on the hillside, it's so beautiful! The condo we rented was tastefully decorated with beach decor and was so cozy inside. The ocean view was spectacular from the bedroom, Living-room and the kitchen. The staff that helped us from Catalina Island Rentals were extremely pleasant and professional. We had several minor issues which they handled promptly and to our satisfaction. We will certainly use them again on our next trip to Catalina.

Enjoyed our time here very much. Complex is absolutely stunning - felt like we were in the Mediterranean. Loved sitting on the balcony just watching the water, boats, birds, clouds... Specific location of the condo was great. Not on the main street, and high enough that the views were wonderful. Also super close to the pool and spa.

The bed was very comfortable, and everything we needed was provided in the unit. We appreciated the beach chairs for use down at the little rocky beach. Would not have been comfy to sit on the rocks.

The smart TV was nice as we could connect to our Netflix and Amazon accounts to watch a movie one night. The furniture in the living room isn't the most comfortable for lounging, but we didn't spend that much time on it, so it wasn't a big problem.

Loved having the golf cart - in fact I don't know how you could stay out here without one. We enjoyed zipping into town and around the island during our stay.

Overall, this was a great choice for us. We could go into town very easily, but also loved the peace and quiet of the Hamilton Cove complex.

The unit was very spacious with a gorgeous bathroom! The view is absolutely breathtaking - amazing to wake up to. There were many times where we were tempted to just stay in as it was so comfortable. We figured it would be best to cook rather than eat out for every meal, and we were very happy that the kitchen was well equipped with utensils.

A few tips that didn't cross our mind before arriving:

-The golf cart remains in Hamilton Cove so be prepared with cash for a taxi after check-in and before check-out as the rental office is in Avalon. We normally don't carry a lot of cash, but there is an ATM in a convenience store near the rental office. It was around $20 each way.

-If you've never operated a golf cart before (like us!) the gas "tank" is located under the back passenger seat. Pull the bench of the seat towards the front of the cart.

-We visited Catalina in March which we anticipated would be a cooler time of year. The entire unit is tiled (as seen in the photos), so nights did get cold. We found a small space heater and another older model space heater, but the latter was the only one which worked. Would recommend bringing warm pajamas or comfortable sweaters if visiting during colder times of the year.

Overall, the unit is fantastic and it was extremely calming to be able to stay at such a quiet location.

Perfectly located near the pool and beach. We loved that there was less than 10 stairs to enter the unit. It made it perfect as we had our 3 grand kids with us. The unit could have a little bit more seating but over all it was good.

Disappointed with the private balcony because we couldn't get to it...the blinds were closed and had a broken rope so you could not open them. They were heavy which made it awkward to use balcony. Called office and they said someone would repair, they never came and did not call. The condo was pretty nice. Dishwasher was not. Did not trust it to get dishes clean. Past time to replace. Bed very comfortable. Lovely view and unit well lit and open. Overall we enjoyed the experience, views and riding around island on golf cart.

We felt like we were celebrities for 4 days! The architecture of Hamilton Cove and the interior decor of this villa made us feel like we were in a Mediterranean or tropical paradise. French doors open out to 2 different balconies but the rear one overlooks red tile roofs and the blue Pacific. We ate and drank here at a teak-wood table under an umbrella and all of our cares evaporated. We watched boats go by and at night we could see the lights of the mainland. One evening we took the golf cart down to the private beach were we grilled steaks and ate under a thatched palapa and listened to the surf. My husband has trouble climbing stairs but this unit has fewer of them than many of the units in this complex

#962 at Hamilton Cove was just the place for our much needed vacation to de-stress! With Island decor and comfortable beds, it was easy to relax. We lucked out with the villa's location on the same level as the pool and not having to drag luggage up flights and flights of stairs like many of the other units. And because it was an end unit, we had a private patio where we BBQ'd steaks and ate, PLUS the whole front veranda to eat and enjoy the ocean views too! We will be back soon!

Birthday Bliss! My husband treated me to a special birthday getaway recently, and this villa was at the center of our journey! This was a simple weekend getaway, from the daily grind of our busy lives. I am a Masters student at Cal Poly and my husband works for the USFS. We had been to the island before, but never stayed at Hamilton Cove. We weren’t really expecting all the amenities that came with our stay. Loved the golf cart and private pool for all the villas! The place had a fresh décor with a subtle hint of beach tranquility to it! The views from the balcony were amazing! The villa is well maintained and relaxing with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed every aspect of this villa and have been telling everyone about it. We will be back!

This is the third time we have rented this villa and have enjoyed each visit. One thing that could be improved is the quality of the matress int he bedroom. Other than that all is well.

My sister and I took our mother here for her 60th birthday. We stayed on the island for 4 days. I loved that the villa was on the private side of the island. It was very peaceful and relaxing. It was nice to get away and have time to enjoy and celebrate. Waking up to the ocean each morning was absolutely breath-taking. I would definitely return for another trip of tranquility. The unit had everything you would have at home. So it was really a home away from home. The golf cart was definitely an added bonus. It made getting around the island very convenient. After staying at the villa, it made the thought of becoming an owner a real possibility.

My wife and I decided to spend our anniversary at Hamilton Cove with our two children and we are so happy we did. Our unit was very clean and the view was simply beautiful. Our children enjoyed the pool and putting green. It was a very special experience, that our children want to return next year instead of Hawaii. That should say enough!
