Between the Catalina Summer Concert Series and the great bands at local bars, Catalina nightlife regularly includes live music. This summer that reputation will be further assured, thanks to the Live @ Descanso Beach Club series of concerts.
Sponsored by Catalina Island Vacation Rentals and Island Express Helicopters, Live @ Descanso Beach Club kicks off May 28 with Smash Mouth. Smash Mouth, known for songs like Walkin’ on the Sun and All Star, is the just the first of four concerts spread over the summer. On July 8, Live @Descanso Beach Club will welcome Rusted Root and Toad the Wet Sprocket; Coleman Hell takes the Descanso Stage on Aug. 12; and on Sept. 3, reggae icons The Wailers complete the series line-up.

The recent Renaissance at Descanso Beach has brought the destination further acclaim.
